The work of this contract consists of performing miscellaneous rehabilitation work on the Navigation Gates and Appurtenances at the New Bedford Hurricane Barrier. Major work features include repair to stop gate guides and stop gates, installation of stop gates and dewatering the navigation gate pockets, jacking of the gates, gate wheel replacement, air and grease line repairs, and repairs to the timber fender system. The repairs will require underwater work including metal cutting, bolting of metal shapes, and inspections. Estimated cost of the work is between $100,000.00 and $250,000.00. Work shall be completed within 120 calendar Days. Plans and specifications available on or about 030397 at a cost of $25.00 per set. All responsible sources may submit a bid which will be considered by the New England Division. (0035)
