18 -- GPS BLOCK II/IIA SATELLITE SUSTAINMENT SOL F04701-97-R-0007 POC Capt Zac Belcher, Contract Negotiator, (310)363-6370; Contracting Officer, Capt Jill Stiglich, (310)363-3214 The Government intends to award a cost plus fixed fee contract providing for technical and management support to Air Force Space Command for on-orbit GPS Block II/IIA space vehicle operations, support and maintenance of the GPS Mission Operations Support Center (MOSC), sustainment of the Block II/IIA Telecommunications Simulator, and launch processing for the last block IIA satellite. Interested offerors should submit a statement of capability documenting their knowledge of Block II/IIA on-orbit space vehicle operations, launch processing, GPS MOSC, and Telecommunications Simulator. Statements of capability are not to exceed ten pages and should arrive at SMC/CZK no later than 21 February 1997. The government plans to issue an RFP in the Spring with contract award anticipated in December, 1997. The initial period of performance will cover calendar year 1998 with four one year options.
