The Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division Newport is soliciting quotes for one (1) Computer Workstation RGB Video Recorder/Player with ten (10) tapes using Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The government requires a workstation-class (up to 1280x1024 pixel x 24 bit) RGB video record and playback capability. Minimum video input requirements are: (1) Video Format: Non-interlaced RGB; (2) Resolution: Up to 1280 x 1024 pixels x 24 bits; (3) Horizontal Frequency Range: 30 to 90 kHz; (4) Vertical Frequen cy Range: 60 to 75 Hz; (5) Amplitude: 0.7 -- 1.0 V; white positive; (6) Input Impedance: 75 ohm; (7) Sync amplitude: 1.0V -- 5.0 V (75 ohm); (8) Sync Formats: Minimum -- Sync on green; (9) Connectors: BNC. Minimum video output requirements are: (1) The system video output shall replay the recorded video image with little to no loss of resolution or reduction in video refresh rate; (2) The recording media shall be tape; (3) Playback performance provided by the video tape recorder/player (VTR) shallbe at least as good as an analog Betacam (color difference format = Y, R-Y, B-Y) VTR with a minimum 13MHz video input/output bandwidth; (4) Recording media: ten (10) 180 minute tapes shall be provided that are appropriate for the recording device and required bandwidth; (5) A stable, flicker-free playback display. Device Control requirements: (1) The system shall automatically recognize up to 8 distinct video signals and reconfigure to previously defined scan conversion settings; (2) The system shall auto-configure t o new video signals and also provide simple operator controls to optimize scan conversion settings for recording and playback; (3) Provide an RS-232 computer interface to control all basic device functions. Physical Characteristics: (1) Component design: The system provided may be composed of multiple components (e.g., scan converter, VTR); (2) Size/mounting: Components shall be able to be 19 inch rack or rack-shelf mountable; (3) Weight: <50 lbs; (4) Power: 110-120VAC 60Hz.
