DEFENSE MEGACENTERS (DMCS) AND DCTF, SLIDELL SOL DCA200-97-R-0014 POC

Contracting Organization (DITCO), Scott AFB, IL, will procure
Preventative and Remedial On-Site Hardware Maintenance for 15 Defense
Megacenters (DMCs) and the Defense Continuity of Operations and Test
Facility (DCTF, Slidell, LA, and remote satellite DPI/IPC Installations
throughout CONUS, Panama, Alaska, Hawaii, and OCONUS sights. This RFP
is divided into two sections. Level I maintenance on equipment located
at all locations require 24 X 7 hardware maintenance support. This
portion is unrestricted full and open competition. Level II and III
maintenance support on equipment located at the DMCs and DCTF requires
9 X 5 and next business day, respectfully, hardware maintenance
support. This portion is a PARTIAL SET-ASIDE under the SBA 8(a)
Program. This partial set-aside will be a competitive 8(a) procurement.
The Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) Code for this procurement
is 7378. The anticipated RFP release date is on or around 27 Feb 97
with proposals expectedto be due approximately on 28 Apr 97. Vendor
proposals in response to this RFP must be received in hard copy in
accordance with the RFP. All responsible sources may submit a proposal
which shall be considered. ACTUAL SOLICITATION WILL BE ISSUED
ELECTRONICALLY; THEREFORE, THERE IS NO NEED TO RESPOND IN WRITING WITH
REFERENCE TO THIS CBD NOTICE. However, if you would like to be
included on a Bidder's List to be published electronically for teaming
and subcontracting opportunities, you can submit a written request to

odonnell@ditco.disa.mil Please include a fax number and an e-mail
address, if available, in your request. Vendors will be able to
download the RFP, amendments, related correspondence, etc. by dialing
into the electronic Information Technology Acquisition Bulletin Board
System (ITABBS). Information will either be in ASCII, Microsoft Word
for Windows 6.0, or Excel 5.0 format. RFPs on ITABBS are usually a
compressed (PKZIP) MS Word file requiring you to have compatible
software to extract the file. The ITABBS can be accessed by any FIP
vendor through standard hardware and software. To access ITABBS, the
necessary communications parameters are 8 data bits, no parity, 1 stop
bit, with modem speeds of 1.2 -- 14.4 KBPS. ITABBS requirements will
remain posted until the deadline has passed for submission of vendor
proposals. Interested vendors are encouraged to access the ITABBS via
