NOTICE OF PRE-SOLICITATION CONFERENCE, PRIME VENDOR SOLICITAITON(S) FOR THE EUROPEAN REGION This is to advise you that the Defense Personnel Support Center will be issuing (1) one or more solicitations for full service food and beverage distribution for a majority of products in support of the U.S. Armed Forces in the European Region. As you were advised in Request for Information (RFI), SP0300-97-I-1797, dated November 20, 1996, Contract(s) resulting from the solicitation(s) will be firm fixed price, Indefinite Quantity. A long term arrangement is anticipated. Some key elements of the contractor's responsibilities are as follows: A. Delivery will be to various Army, Air Force, Navy and other military/non-military customer locations within 48-72 hours after an order is placed with the prime vendor contractor. B. The contractor must maintain a fill rate of 98%. C. The Berry Amendment will be applicable. All products supplied under this contract MUST BE "DOMESTIC" (U.S.). FOREIGN PRODUCT WILL NOT BE ALLOWED. The solicitation is in the planning and preparation stage at this time. A Pre-solicitation Conference is planned to which prospective offerors are invited. The conference will be used to discuss various aspects of the solicitation's requirements prior to solicitation issuance. The solicitation conference will be held in Philadelphia, PA on February 19 and 20, 1997, from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The conference will be held at the Franklin Room, Building 14, second floor, Defense Personnel Support Center (DPSC), Philadelphia, PA. Attendees who would like to give a SHORT presentation to the general audience are encouraged to do so. Please keep the length to no more than 10 minutes. Also, private meetings can be arranged if desired, and will be held on the 20th of February. Duration of the meetings will be NO LONGER THAN 30 MINUTES EACH. A "Pre-proposal Conference" will be held later in Europe. The date of this conference has not yet been determined. Please be assured that when the date is set, you will receive a notice, similar to this, advising you of the date and time.
