W -- LEASE AND SERVICE OF RADIO PAGERS SOL DEA-97-B-0019 DUE 040397 POC Lisa Taylor, Contract Specialist, (202) 307-7820 The Drug Enforcement Administration, Office of Information Systems, Automated message Management Unit, has a requirement for Nationwide Paging Service with overage in the continental United States. Also, DEA requires Local Paging Services with coverage in an area equivalent to 175 mile radius of Washington, D.C. The local paging system shall provide a single toll-free telephone access to all local pagers in all the area codes within the 175 mile radius of Washington, D.C. This requirement is estimated to be 3200 radio pagers per year. 1. Capable of being effectively paged through steel and/or concrete structures; 2. possess a silent alert capability and use; 3. standard off-the-shelf batteries; 4. select Nationwide pagers and local area pagers must have the capability of receiving alpha-numeric message. The anticipated basic contract period is October 1, 1997 through September 30, 1998. Four (4) one (1) year renewal options are included with this requirement. It is anticipated that the solicitation will be issued on or about March 3, 1997 with a closing date on or about April 3, 1997.
