Z -- THE POSTAL SERVICE IS SOLICITING CONTRACTORS FOR THE UPGRADE/REPLACEMENT OF THE HVAC SYSTEM AT ITS WILLIAM F. BOLGER CENTER FOR LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT IN POTOMAC, MD SOL 671820-97-A-0010 DUE 031297 POC Project Manager, Ken Postell, (202) 268-3063, Facilities Contract Specialist, Jim Allen, (202) 268-3932. The U.S. Postal Service is soliciting proposals for the replacement of the existing HVAC systems at it's William F. Bolger Center for Leadership Development in Potomac, MD. The work includes, but not limited to the removal/replacement of existing chillers, cooling towers and all related pumps, piping and motor controls in the Services and Academic Buildings. To be considered contractors must have a minimum of five (5) years experience as a contractor dealing with similar projects (HVAC projects greater than one (1) million dollars). Other requirements include the following: (1) Successful completion and favorable references for similar projects; (2) Financial stability. The proposals will be evaluated by the following listed in descending order of importance; (1) cost/price, (2) previous experience, (3) references, and (4) financial stability. The award of this contract will be to the contractor with the offer determined to be in the best interest of the Postal Service. The estimated price range is between $1,200,000.00 and $1,500,000.00.
