59 -- MOBILE ELECTRIC GENERATOR SETS SOL IFB 23485-1B18 POC Contact Point: Mr. Patrick Feltman, EPC Procurement, Black & Veatch International, Tel. 913-458-3831. The General Organization for Greater Cairo Water Supply (GOGCWS), in the Arab Republic of Egypt, requests bids from U.S. firms for four mobile electric generator sets. The required mobile electric generator sets consist of two 250+ kW sets and two 500+ kW sets rated at 1500 rpm to deliver electric power at 400 volts, 50 Hz including spare parts to be furnished and delivered to CIP Destination Alexandria, Arab Republic of Egypt. Bidder must have representation for supply of spare parts and service in the Arab Republic of Egypt and must bid on all of the items specified. A Fixed Price Host Country Contract with GOGCWS is anticipated. Payment will be made in U.S. Dollars by USAID/Cairo through a direct letter of Commitment under USAID Grant No. 263-1093. Interested firms may obtain copies of the Invitation for Bid (IFB 23485-1C15) from Black & Veatch International, P.O. Box 8405, Kansas City, Missouri 64114, Attn.: Patrick Feltman, Fax No.: (913)-458-3802. The IFB is expected to be released on or after 15 days from the publication of this notice. Bidders will be given 45 days from the date of issuance of the IFB to prepare and submit their bids. A public bid opening will be held at the time, date and address specified in the IFB. Late submission of bids will not be considered. Bids must remain valid and open for acceptance for a minimum of 120 days from the date set for bid opening. The Government of the Arab Republic of Egypt and the Agency for International Development encourage and welcome in this activity the participation, to, the fullest extent possible, of minorities and women both as individuals and as members of contracting or sub-contracting firms. In this respect, it is anticipated that the prime contractor will make every practicable use of such personnel and firms. (0037)
