66 -- UPGRADE FOR TSQ-70 SOL FSIS-11-W-97 DUE 022697 POC Contact Point, Tawana Nathan, (202) 720-9891 The U.S. Department of Agriculture, Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) has a requirement to upgrade the TSQ-70 to extend its useful life and to permit the performance of state of the art analysis. FSIS intends to award a contract to Finnigan Corporation d/b/a Finnigan MAT, 1355 Remington Road, Suite M, Schaumburg IL 60173 for a quantity of: 1-field installed atmospheric pressure ionization source for atmospheric pressure chemical ionization (APCI) and electrospray ionization (ESI) on TSQ-700 system, including loop injector, infusion pump, installation and 90 day warranty; 1 one-inch foreline hose assembly (for systems manufactured before January 1991); 1 20KV Dynode for TSQ-70 series instrument (high voltage dynode system allowing up to 20KV post accelerating voltage for enhanced sensitivity and signal to noise ratio. Voltage is adjustable under ICL control from -20 to +20KV), including dynodes firmware for ICL control, related hardware, installation and 90-day warranty; 1 Octapole collision cell upgrade for TSQ-70/70B, including installation and 90 day warranty; and 1 XSQ-70/700 conversion kit with Alpha workstation, including full digital electronics upgrade, Alpha 200 4/166 workstation with 63MB memory, 17" DEC color monitor, HP Laserjet V printer, software, cables, and installation. All interested concerns must identify their interest in writing and fully document their capability to meet the Agency's requirements by forwarding a detailed response within 15 days of publication of this notice. All proposals from responsible sources will be considered by the Agency. If no affirmative written responses are received within 15 days of publication of this notice to determine that a comparable source is available, or is more advantageous to the Government, negotiations will take place with Finnigan Mat.
