The Defense Special Weapons Agency (DSWA) proposes a modification to contract DNA001-95-D-0154 to commence approximately 1 May 97, to Physics International Co. (PIC), 2700 Merced Street, San Leandro, CA 94577-0599, for additional testing services on DSWA-owned Nuclear Weapons Effects (NWE) simulators. Under the current contract, which expires on 31 Dec 97, PIC provides radiation simulation testing on a variety of machines. This modification will add two machines; the DECADE MODULE 1 (DM1), and DECADE MODULE 2 (DM2). PIC designed, assembled and has been the sole operator of DM1 and DM2. The simulators are physically located at PIC. DSWA believes that only PIC is adequately situated to efficiently provide the services required in this procurement. See Note 22.
