Systems Command intends to issue a cost plus fixed fee (CPFF) delivery
order under Baasic Ordering Agreement N00019-94-G-0291 with McDonnell
Douglas Aerospace (MDA), St. Louis, Missouri, to perform engineering
services for two Joint Air to Surface Standoff Missile contractors
during the Program Definition and Risk Reduction Phase. The anticipated
period of performance is approximately 11 months after issuance of the
order. As sole designer, developer and manufacturer of the F/A-18
aircraft, MDA is the only firm that possesses the requisite knowledge
of the aircraft's design and operation to perform this analysis and
provide recommendations and results in a timely manner. -- NAVAIR
