software maintenance, configuration management (network, system and
application level software), integration, sustainment, and training
support for the Pacific ADP Server Site Korea (PASS-K) network and
certain communication support processes, i.e., Automated Message
Handling Systems. PASS-K is a DODIIS compliant node of the PASS
architecture composed of both COTS and GOTS products in an integrated
(Wide Area Network [WAN]) environment and automated military
intelligence processing support with a central host facility in Taegu,
Korea and a node and training facility at Yongsan Army Garrison,
Seoul. The type of contractual instrument contemplated is a one year
cost plus fixed fee contract with four one year options. Place of
performance is primarily Taegu and Seoul, and various remote sites
within the Republic of Korea. Contract performance requires TOP SECRET
(TS) Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) clearance (requiring a
Special Background Investigation [SBI]) adjudicated by the Contractor
Support Element (Ft. Meade, MD), possession of which will be a
condition for award. Anticipated solicitation release date is 18
February 1997. The dates for site visit and on-site pre-proposal
conference are 10-13 March 1997 (0930-1530 hrs). Security clearance
requirement for site visit is TS/SI. Attendance at the conference will
be limited to two representatives per company, including divisions/
subsidiaries. Parties must provide written notification of interest to
this office no later than 26 February 1997 (based on theater clearance
requirements). Request for participation or substitution received after
that date will not be processed/allowed. Written notice must contain
proposed participant's full name, social security number, date of
birth, place of birth, and level of security clearance. Interested
parties' security offices must forward security clearance information
through Contractor Support Element. Security clearance must be passed
and theater clearance obtained prior to visit. All reservations and
transportation to include in country are the responsibility of the
interested companies. No Government support will be provided. Required
services are being solicited on a fully competitive basis.
