Synopsis No. 97-014 for RFP SP4400-97-R-0057 is for a service contract for removal and disposal of hazardous waste and stabilization of waste (including such waste as organic peroxide, styrene, ethers, and picric acid) at DRMO Norfolk and surrounding locations. This solicitation will be issued on or about February 28, 1997. The approximate closing date is April 4, 1997. This solicitation has the possibility for multiple award through break-out of the stabilization requirement. This RFP will result in a requirements contract(s) for an 18-month base period and two, 12-month option periods. Performance will be requested by issuance of delivery orders against the contract; except for stabilization which will be ordered by call orders against funded delivery orders. Special Qualifications: Prospective contractors must be able to meet all Federal, State, and local laws, ordinances, and regulations governing handling, transportation, and disposal of hazardous waste materials and environmental protection.
