sources sought synopsis for Mechanical and Elevator Operation &
Maintenance services for the following 7 federal bldgs.: Peter Rodino
FB, 970 Broad St., Newark, Veterans Administration Bldg., 20 Washington
Pl., Newark and the Martin Luther King FB & US Cthse., 50 Walnut St.,
Newark. The Paterson FB, 200 Federal Plaza, Paterson and 3 Social
Security Administration Trust Fund Bldgs. located in Hackensack,
Irvington & Montclair, NJ.GSA is seeking interested and capable small
business firms who can provide all management, supervision, labor,
materials/supplies and equipment and can plan, schedule,coordinate and
assure effective performance of an approximate combined total of
1,135,000 gross square feet of federal building space. Also, the firm
must provide elevator maintenance services at 3 (potentially 4) of
those federal buildings. This contract will be for an initial3 year
base period with two 3-year option periods for a total of 9 years.
Target dte for contract award is May 15, 1997. All small business firms
are invited to submit a brief capabilities statement no later than
March 31, 1997.Firms must indicate their experience over the past 5
years on similar projects/jobs of this magnitude. Firms must also be
capable of submitting Bid & Performance Bonds. If sufficient interest
is received from capable small business concerns, the solicitation my
be issued as small business set aside, This is not a request for
