will be accepted Armed Security Guard Service for Summerfiled Military
Family Housing Community, Landover, Maryland. The contractor will
provide all personnel, equipment, tools, materials, supervision, and
all other items and services necessary to perform armed security
operations at the Summerfield Military Family Housing Community located
in Landover, MD. The contractor will provide two security personnel
twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week including holidays. The
contractor will ensure that all employees are certified as meeting the
minimum standard certifciation by the Maryland Police Training
Commission to carry a firearm, detain and make arrest according to the
laws of the State of Maryland. Certifications to this effect will be
maintained throughout the duration of the contract and a copy of all
certifications shall be provided to the Contracting Officer. The
security offics shall react to suspicious acts, improper personal
conduct, emergency conditions or suspected illegal acts. Security
officers are responsible to detain and or arrest persons who are
suspected of perpetrating or have perpetrated an unlauful act and for
completing the appropriate documents. Security Officers must endeavor
to prevent damage, pilferage, destruction, misuse, theft or any other
unlawful act against government owned or leased property and personal
property of the residents. The contractor will ensure that security
officers are equipped with appropriate sidearms, communication devices,
and professional equipment i.e. pepper spray, flashligh, etc. All
security office will wear an appropriate uniform at no expense to the
Government. The uniform must portray that appearance of a professional
police officer and all officers shall wear tha same uniform unless
otherwise specified by the Government. The contractor shall provide two
patrol vehicle which are easily identified as security patrol
conveyances. The vehicle shall be a two or four door sedan and equipped
with emergency lighting as outlined by Maryland Law. This acquisition
will be 100% Set-Aside for Small Business. The proposed period of
performance will have a one year basic period with three one year
