The Office of Justice Programs(OJP), Office of the Comptroller (OC) intends to acquire technical assistance on a sole source basis from the National Criminal Justice Association (NCJA), 444 North Capital Street, N.W., Washington, D.C. 20001. NCJA will provide logistics to assist the agency in the preparation of the nine (9) Annual Regional Financial Management Seminars to be held beginning January 1997 and continuing through October 1997 (actual training dates and locations to be determined). NCJA is a Washington, D.C., based special interest group that represents governors' key policy advisors on crime control and public safety matters. NCJA's work focuses on helping to develop national policy in the criminal justice field and on helping states to address their criminal justice-related problems. NCJA's core membership comprises high-level state executive branch officials designated by the governors' as their states' NCJA representatives, which includes state attorney generals, state justice departmentadministrators, public safety directors, and crime commission and criminal justice planning agency executives. Because of NCJA's unique relationship with the state agencies, NCJA will be able to assist OJP with the identification and selection of states that will serve as host agencies for the nine training sessions within an expeditious time frame. This is not a request for competitive proposals. Simplified Acquisition Procedures will be utilized in this procurement.
