The work includes removal of the halon fire extinguishing system in B. 467 and provide modifications to the existing wet pipe system to provide coverage; removal of the two halon fire extinguishing systems in B. 943; replace the underfloor halon system with a new carbon dioxide fire extinguishing system; replace the two 190 ton centrifugal chillers with new 190 ton screw chillers in B. 943, and incidental related work. During performance of this work, asbestos, hazardous waste, or pollution abatement may be encountered. The Standard Industrial Classification Code is 1711. The related small business size standard is $7 million. The estimated cost range is between $250,000 and $500,000. Performance time is 180 calendar days. Plans and specifications will be available on or about 25 February 1997. The estimated bid opening date is 28 March 1997. There will be a NON-REFUNDABLE CHARGE of $28.04 for plans and specifications.
