The Government intends to purchase on a sole source basis the following hardware and software items manufactured and provided by Advanced Simulation Technology Inc. (ASTI) of Herndon, VA for a Digital Audio Communication System: p/n CPU-UG3, CPU Upgrade to Pentium 166MHZ (1 each); p/n MB-Intercom, Model Builder Intercom, Model Builder Intercom Software Package (1 each); p/n MB-Voicenet, Model Builder Voicenet software package (1 each); p/n ILP-8-16-EE-H2, Digital Audio Communications System (1 each). The Government requires a system and its associated computer programs to expand the current AEGIS Computer Center (ACC) secure voice capability to support connectivity to the tactical consoles located in the Program Assurance Facility (PAF). The system must provide communication within the lab, between labs located at the ACC and with labs at remote sites in a secure manner to support AEGIS Weapon System (AWS) lifecycle support engineering activities. The current ACC voice system is proprietary to ASTI. The ACC is currently activating an additional lab and therefore needs to expand the existing secure voice capability. These new components must be compatible with the existing ASTI voice system. Award is to be made utilizing Simplified Acquisition Procedures.
