70 -- SOFTWARE MODIFICATIONS POC Junghie Elky Tel: 410-965-9483 The Social Security Administration (SSA) seeks to identify vendors who can provide modifications to software created by I. Levy Associates, Inc. This proprietary software is used in twenty-eight Disability Determination Services (DDSs) for the processing of disability claims. The modifications are required to make the software Year-2000-compliant. The software must run on several models of Wang VS mini-computers and on an IBM AS/400 mini-computer. The software to be modified includes baseline software common to all DDSs, as well as software customized for each. SSA requires that the software modifications not invalidate any portion of the existing maintenance contracts for the baseline and customized software owned by I. Levy Associates, Inc. Written responses from interested parties must be received in this office within 15 calendars after publication of this notice in order to be considered. This is a request for vendor product information and NOT a Request for Proposal. No open market award will be made on the basis of responses received. However, the information will be used in SSA's asssesment of capable sources. The Government does NOT intend to pay for any information provided. (0038)
