Request for proposals (RFP) for the Operation of the Gulfport Job Corps Center located in Gulfport, Mississippi will be available approximately February 27, 1997, for issue in response to written request. The Contractor will be required to provide services to students for Academic and Vocational Training and operate the following support services: Health Services, Processing of Student Records, Discipline System, Clothing Issue, Mail Services and Legal Services. The Contractor will also provide overall Center Management and Administration of Contract and Personnel Administration, Staff Training, Financial Management, Procurement and Property Management, Facility Operations and Maintenance, Security and Safety Services, Community Relations and Public Information. It is anticipated that the resultant contract will cover the period of November 1, 1997 through October 31, 1999, plus three governmental unilateral renewal options of one year. The approximate average capacity strength is 280 students (150 residential males, 70 residential females, 30 non-residential males and 30 non-residential females). A Preproposal Conference and Site-Visit for the Job Corps Center is scheduled for March 12, 1997 to begin at 9:00 a.m. at the Gulfport Job Corps Center, 3300 20th Street, Gulfport, Mississippi 39501. Interested firms should limit representative attendance to three individuals. Upon entering the facility, tour participants must report to and register at the Administrative Building.
