of 12.285 miles of grading, drainage, base, paving and structure.
Project includes: construction survey & staking; construction
scheduling; contractor sampling & testing; 34,250 ton hot asphalt
concrete pavement; 1,550 ton minor asphalt concrete; 172 ton asphalt
tack coat; 2,200 lnft curb & gutter; 5,500 ton untreated aggregate
courses; 500 lnft culverts & drains; 1,400 underdrains; 100 lnft silt
fence; 15,700 ton select borrow; 11,500 cuyd subexcavation; 5,000 M-Gal
watering; 9,500 sqyd roadway obliteration; 15,000 sqyd earthwork
geotextiles; 9,000 sqyd topsoil; 200 hrs rental equipment; 1,300 sqyd
sidewalks; 2 stone masonry headwalls; 3,000 hrs traffic control;
249,000 lnft permanent pavement markings; and other small items of
work. PRELIMINARY PLANS are currently available for this project. This
project is located approximately 21 miles northeast of Columbia Falls,
Montana. Estimated price range is between $2,500,000 and $5,000,000.

The following applies only to Minority, Women-Owned and Disadvantaged
Business Enterprises: The Department of Transportation (DOT), Office
of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization (OSDBU), has programs
to assist minority, women-owned and disadvantaged business enterprises
to acquire short-term working capital and bonding assistance for
transportation-related contracts. This is applicable to any eligible
prime or subcontract at any tier. The DOT Bonding Assistance Program
enables firms to apply for bid, performance and payment bonds up to
$1.0 million per contract. The DOT provides an 80% guaranty on the bond
amount to a surety against losses. Loans are also available under the
DOT Short Term Lending Program (STLP) at prime interest rates to
provide accounts receivable financing. The maximum line of credit is
