This is Amendment No. 0001 to Synopsis/Solicitation RFP 1PI-R-0690-97. Type of contract is changed to read "Firm-Fixed Price Requirement Type contract with Three (3) Option Years, if exercised". Quantities as stated are the estimated one year usage. Additional general item description is hereby furnished as follows: Institutional Hinge similar to: Folger Adam #4-1/2 FM (Security Hollow Metal Door Hinge): (a) Each hinge shall be 4 1/2" X 4 1/2" X 3/16" thick leaves. Hinge leaves shall be investment cast from 304 stainless steel. (b) Hinge item 1 and 2 must have two sets of hardened steel races, with stainless steel balls. Hinge pins shall be stainless steel. Hinge pin shall be fully concealed, non-removable. Hinge pins held in place with set screws are not acceptable. (c)Entire assembly shall be cross-pinned at assembly. (d) Hinges shall be finished US32, US32D, or USP-PRIMED, as called for in the hardware schedule. (e) Hinges shall be mounted with stainless steel security-type screws with pinned Torx head of appropriate size and length.
