C -- REPLACE FIRE ALARM SYSTEM SOL RFP 508-59-97 DUE 030797 POC Marlon R. Hall Provide A/E services to prepare preliminary design development to expand and replace the existing fire alarm system at the VA Medical Center. Design work will include structural, mechanical, electrical and communication modifications. The Government reserves the right to negotiate a separate contract for contract drawings & specifications; construction period services and site visits upon completion and approval by the Government of the preliminary design development of the project. Estimated construction cost is between $350,000.00 and $600,000.00. No further design work will be authorized until the completion of the design development. Pursuant to VAAR 805.207(b), consideration for award will be limited to firms within 200 miles radius of the medical facility. The SIC code is 8712. All eligible firms are to submit the latest revision to SF 254 and SF 255 to the Contracting Officer NLT 4:30 PM, 3/7/97. Award is subject to availability of funds.
