STATEMENT OF WORK, START: 24 March 1997, COMPLETE: 28 March 1997
LOCATION: NAS Kingsville, TX (Transmitter Site) and NALF Orange Grove
(Repeater Site) 1. GENERAL REQUIREMENTS 1.1 Technical support is
required for the setup, installation, and checkout of Video Compression
equipment for transmission of Bright Radar Alphanumeric Display System
(BRANDS) video and controls. 2. SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS 2.1 The
contractor shall be responsible for the following: 2.11 Cables: Using
the information provided by site survey, the contractor will provide
the cables required to interconnect the BVC system and to connect the
BVC system to the T1 Line. 2.12 Equipment: The contractor shall build,
factory test, and ship the BVC system to the host site to arrive prior
to the schedules installation date. The contractor shall also provide
technical manuals for the system. BRANDS Video Compression Components:
a. Model VCU-03, Video Compression Unit Qty(2) b. Model VDU-03, Video
Decompressor Unit Qty(2) c. Model DNS1800, DSU/CSU Communications
Modem Qty(3) d. BVC Cables Qty(1 set) e. BVC Module Extender Board
Qty(1) 2.13 Installation: During the scheduled installation period, the
contractor will mechanically and electrically install, integrate, and
perform acceptance testing of the BVC system at the designated
facilities. Installation tools and test equipment will be provided by
the contractor. 2.14 Training: As part of the installation process, the
contractor will provide classroom and hands-on training for the
personnel designated by the Navy. Training shall be provided only
during the initial installation at the host site. Trainer shall be a
senior engineer with prior experience with the system. 2.2 The
Government's responsibilities include the following: 2.21 Site Survey:
The government will determine and provide a location for the BVC
system. The government shall provide the lengths of any required
cables. 2.22 BRANDS System: The Government will provide the BRANDS
system and the cables to connect the BRANDS to the BVC system as
required. 2.23 T-1 Line: The government will provide the T-1 (DS-1)
line between the host and remote sites. 2.24 Power: The government will
provide power to the BVC system. 2.25 Training Facilities: The
government will provide a classroom with an overhead projector for
training. 3.0 TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS For estimate purposes, only the
following travel is assumed. The government will notify the contractor
of the exact times when the information becomes known. Round trip to
Kingsville, Texas, two people, five days. 4.0 HEALTH AND SAFETY The
contractor shall be responsible for compliance with the safety and
health regulations of the government activity where work under this
contract is being performed. A SOLE SOURCE AWARD TO DELTA INFORMATION
