N -- PROVIDE AND INSTALL COMPLETE AND FULLY OPERATIONAL SOUND SOL OXHSFDX-97-006 DUE 032897 POC Carol Smith (202) 273-1468 Furnish all necessary labor, equipment, materials, and expertise necessary to provide, install, and test complete and fully operational sound reinforcement systems in 17 courtrooms, two grand jury rooms, one jury assembly room, two conference rooms, and one control room in the new U.S. Courthouse in Tampa, Florida. The sound reinforcement system includes voice interpretation, assisted listening, recording, phone interface and control system. The video systems shall be optional, and will include monitors with presentation camera and stand, VCR, annotation pens and inputs for computers, courtroom cameras and a control room. The work includes but is not limited to supply/fabrication/testing and adjustment of sound reinforcement and video equipment, preparation of operations and maintenance manuals, user training, warranty maintenance, and the repair and refinishing of all surfaces damaged during the installation of the system components and cabling. The contractor shall be able to respond on-site with in 24 hours of a service call during warranty period and temporarily provide equivalent replacement equipment when immediate on-site repairs cannot be made. The contractor shall have calibrated test equipment of sufficient quality to permit repair and adjustment of system components to manufactures' specifications. Award will be made to the responsive, responsible bidder submitting the lowest-price. This is a sealed bid, the contract will be firm-fixed price. Estimate cost range is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. Bid, payment and performance bonds are required. Bids will be solicited for the proposed contract on an unrestricted basis as to business size.
