N -- PROVIDE AND INSTALL COMPLETE AND FULLY OPERATIONAL SOUN REINFORCEMENT AND VIDEO SYSTEMS IN THE NEW U.S COURTHOUSE IN FORT MYERS, FLORIDA SOL OXHSFDX-97-007 DUE 032897 POC Carol Smith (202) 273-1468 Furnish all necessary labor, equipment, materials, and expertise necessary to provide, install, and test complete and fully operational sound reinforcement systems in four court rooms, two grand jury rooms, and one control room and law library in the new U.S Courthouse in Fort Myers, Florida. The sound reinforcement system includes voice reinforcement, bench conference, playback, simultaneous interpretation, assisted listening, recording, phone interface and control system. The video systems shall be optional, and will include monitors with presentation camera and stand, VCR, annotation pens and input for computers, courtroom cameras and a control room. The work includes but is not limited to supply/ fabrication/ testing and adjustment of sound reinforcement and video equipment, preparations of operations and maintenance manuals, user training, warranty maintenance, and the repair and refinishing of all surfaces damaged during the installation of the system components and cabling. The contractor shall be able to respond on-site within 24 hours of a service call during warranty period and temporarily provide equivalent replacement equipment when immediate on-site repairs cannot be made. The contractor shall have calibrated test equipment of sufficient quality to permit repair and adjustment of system components to manufacturer specifications. Award will be made to the responsive, responsible bidder submitting the lowest price. This is a sealed bid, the contract will be firm-fixed price. Estimated cost range is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. Bid, payment and performance bonds are required. Bids will be solicited for the proposed contract on an unrestricted basis as to business size. The solicitation documents will be issued on or about February 26, 1997.
