Sources sought to provide weather observation services for the National Weather Service in Havre, Montana. Term of contract will be from 6/1/97 through 9/30/97 with one additional option year. NWS observations are taken and disseminated by the Automated Surface Observing System (ASOS). Observers hired under resultant contract will edit the ASOS observation when it is in error or missing parameters. The ASOS observation will be augmented for certain conditions. Contractor shall provide NWS-certified weather observers to monitor the weather conditions at the Havre City-County Airport. Observers will augment, back-up, and edit the ASOS observations as necessary to make the observations representative of the area immediately surrounding the airport.
