Notice of intent to solicit on a sole source basis with ORTECH Corporation of Ontario, Canada to provide Atrazine emission database during selected episodes between 1994 and 1995 for the U. S. and Canada east of the Rocky Mountains on a 36-km grid scale for the Lake Michigan Mass Balance Project for the Air Resources Laboratory, Research Triangle Park, North Carolina. The requirements include review of grid-specific data; modification of model code; evaluation of modified model; preparation of input data; execution of the model code; evaluation of modified model; preparation of input data; execution of the model production runs; delivery of emission data files; and report preparation. The period of performance is upon award through September 30, 1997. The proposed action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement orsubmit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received within forty-five days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. No telephone requests will be accepted. (0042)
