Manager, 202-273-1620 The Administrative Office of the U.S. Courts is
requesting information from vendors for a Commercial Off-the-Shelf
(COTS) software package that could be used and/or modified to provide
an information system for federal probation and pretrial services
offices. Modifications to the COTS software could potentially be
necessary to meet the specific functional requirements of the Probation
and Pretrial Services Automated Case Tracking System (PACTS 2000). The
objective of the PACTS 2000 is to provide probation and pretrial
services users, particularly officers, with the automated functionality
they need to more efficiently perform the duties required of them by
law. The system shall include functionality to provide: 1) Electronic
generation, storage and retrieval of all investigation and supervision
case information for all probation and pretrial services cases,
including information pertaining to sentence, special condition and
release condition compliance, bail status, personal demographics,
defendant/offender contacts, substance abuse treatment and testing, and
electronic monitoring data; 2) Electronic retrieval for author- ized
judiciary personnel of vital case information including the
pre-sentence report, pretrial services report, and chronological
record; 3) Defendant/ offender imaging; 4) On-line assignment of cases
as they are received by probation and pretrial services; 5) A
graphical user interface for data entry and retrieval; and 6) Ability
for user customization of the system and for generation of ad-hoc
queries and reports at the user level. No solicitation is currently in
progress. This is a request for information only. Interested parties,
which have the capabilities to provide any or all of the above
functions, off-the-shelf or otherwise, must submit detailed functional
and technical capability information, along with pricing information,
to the attention of Mr. Tim Cadigan, Administrative Office of the U.S.
Courts, One Columbus Circle, N.E., Room 4-300, Washington, DC 20544.
Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of
determining whether or not it is advantageous for the Government to
conduct a competitive procurement. If a solicitation is issued, an
additional synopsis will be published. Submissions must be submitted to
Mr. Cadigan at the above address within fifteen calendar days from the
publication of this notice. Parties who fail to include the detailed
functional and technical capability information will not be considered.
