The purpose of the acquisition is to obtain Life Cycle technical and support services for Navy systems in the areas of Configuration and Data Management; Reliability, Maintainability, and Availability (RM&A); Human Factors; Quality Assurance; Integrated Logistics Engineering (ILS); Independent Verification and Validation (IV&V); Testability; and General Engineering Support. A five-year Cost-Plus-Fixed-Fee Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (ID/IQ) contract is planned. This acquisition is a follow-on to Contract Number N60921-93-D-A142 with Vitro Corporation which is currently providing approximately 55 man-years per year of technical support. It is anticipated that the solicitation will be issued on 03 March 1997 on an unrestricted basis with a closing date of 17 April 1997.
