Slana (Site Code W31XNJ) This project includes renovation of approximately 7,500 SF in Hangar 3 (sheet metal shop) and approximately 10, 030 SF in Bldg. 552 (Aircraft Ground Equipment) to convert these into aircraft maintenance areas. In addition, this project includes approximately 16, 400 SF of renovation to Bldg. 1071 including constructing an approximate 11,900 SF high bay addition to convert this facility from a fuel maintenance facility for F-16 aircraft to C-135 aircraft. This is a total renovation to all three facilities. Bldg. 1071 will require the construction of an AFFF underwing fire suppressor system to meet the requirements of the new aircraft mission. This solicitation includes Bid Options which may not be awarded. Critical Path Method (Network Analysis system) is required. Bid documents are available on or about 25 February 1997. Cost of work is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000.
