A requirement exists to purchase a large dual conveyor fed oven system for use in curing aircraft landing gear components. the ovens shall be indirect natural gas fired designed IAW NFPA86. Combustion components from the burner shall not enter the oven cavity and shall use the existing 5 PSI natural gas feed fro utility supply. The ovens shall operate in the range 100 degrees F to 400 degrees F. The ovens shall maintain a uniform temperature, at Hill AFB altitude, throughout the oven of the set temperature F 25 degrees. Each oven shall operate independent of the other. The oven walls exterior temp rise on the wall of the oven shall not exceed 40 degrees F. Burners shall be powered burners. Pilot ignition source shall shut down 15 sec. after the main burners start. The conveyor shall service both ovens from the same load and unload area. The conveyor shall be constructed to provide a variable amount of time in either oven from 15 min to 36 hrs. The time a carrier dwells in the oven shall be capable of being set for each carrier such that a part with a longer dwell time shall not impide a part with a shorter dwell time. Minimum hook height to the floor of the oven is 8 ft. The largest part envelop is 7 ft tall x 12 ft long x 3 ft wide. A pre- proposal conference will be held at Hill AFB, UT. The date and time will be set forth in the solicitation. The conference is usually held approx two weeks after the solicitation issue date. Delivery: 180 days ARO The approximate issue/response date will be 04 Mar 97. No telephone requests. Only written or faxed requests received directly from the requestor are acceptable. An Ombudsman has been appointed to hear concerns from offerors or potential offerors during the proposal development phase of this acquisition. The purpose of the Ombudsman is not to diminish the authority of the program director or contracting officer, but to communicate contractor, concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate government personnel.
