E-MAIL: NIST Contracts Office, Contract@mailserver3.nist.gov. The Mass Spectra Center of the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) plans to acquire from Chemical Concepts GmbH, P.O. Box 10 02 02, D-69442 Weinheim, Germany, spectra to be used in the NIST/NIH/EPA Mass Spectral Database. The spectra is currently the exclusive property of Chemical Concepts GmbH, who will provide the spectra and grant NIST the license to use the reference data "Volatile Compounds in Food" by TNO Food Research (2nd edition). The spectra will be supplied with structures in readable electronic form. We intend to solicit one source, under authority of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302.1. Interested offerors may identify their interests or capability to respond to the requirements by submitting a capability statement. The capability statement shall contain sufficient documentation to establish a bonafide capability to fulfill the requirements. Responses received as a result of this notice will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. A Solicitation is not available.
