Social Security Administration intends to issue a sole source purchase
order under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures to Harvard Business
School Publishing of Boston, MA for multimedia training products for
executive, managers and supervisors produced by Harvard. Specifically,
we plan to procure Harvard Business School Publishing's Interactive
Manager Series. The Interactive Manager Series consists of three (3) CD
ROMs: High Performance Management, Managing Across Differences and
Teams that Work. This material addresses the following basic
competencies required for managers: Conflict Management; Creative
Thinking; Customer Orientation; Decisiveness; External Awareness;
Flexibility; Human Resources Management; Influencing/Negotiating;
Interpersonal Leadership; Management Controls/Integrity; Managing
Diverse Workforce; Oral Communications/Listens to Others; Planning and
Evaluating; Problem Solving; Self-Direction; Team Building; Technology
Management and Vision. This training material makes optimal use of
technology by incorporating audio and video; highly interactive,
requiring thoughtful interaction (not just rote response); takes a
personalized approach by accessing individual needs and prescribing
training that will match those needs which incorporates a
self-assessment instrument. The Harvard Business School Publishing is
the only known source which has done extensive research by studying
managers and their performance at critical stages during diverse
conditions. The materials available from Harvard Business School
Publishing are unique and innovative which are not available from any
other sources. This is not a request for proposal or an announcement of
