PRODUCT TO PROVIDE DATA QUERY AND UPDATES SOL J2776007 POC Kay A.

sought market survey synopsis for a local area network (LAN) product
for use with an existing database computer (DBC) 1012 Model 3 and newer
Teradata offerings including the World-Mark 5100. Access to the
Teradata is currently, but not necessarily limited to, IBM and
Honeywell mainframes (IFP) and LAN communications via a Teradata
communications processor (COP). The product must: Provide data query
and update; Produce and modify complex output report formats; Generate
spread sheets, tables and charts; Create data files as input to
ACCESS, DBASE4, word processors, and other Windows products; Validate
user queries prior to submission; Generate, store and edit complex SQL;
Support 40 concurrent users; and provide a data dictionary system that
is refreshed and workstation resident. Vendor telephone support must
be available during the hours 6:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m. Mountain Standard
Time. The product must currently provide, or the vendor must be
actively pursuing, Internet access and reportingof the Teradata
resident information. The software must be presently licensed, fully
supported and documented, including future enhancements, revisions and
updates of the product. The software must be fully operational and
running successfully at a minimum of three sites comparable in size and
complexity to MSHA, excluding any of the vendor's computer systems.
Vendors capable of providing a product, as described above, are invited
to submit complete information, software description, pricing,
brochures, and GSA Schedule Contracts (if applicable) about their
product. In addition, the names, addresses, and telephone numbers of
three technical references at sites, excluding vendor owned sites,
where the product is operational must be provided. This synopsis is the
sole purpose of identifying prospective sources and does not commit the
Government to make an award. Interested parties should forward product
