32407-7015 99 -- HUMAN RESPIRATOR SIMULATOR, SINGLE AND/OR DUAL PISTON SOL
N0463A-97-Q-36015 DUE 022497 POC Mr. CHRIS DIEHL, CONTRACTING OFFICER,
(904) 230-3100 The Navy Experimental Diving Unit, Panama City, Fl.
intends to procure the following via SIMPLIFIED ACQUISITION PROCEDURES:
Single and/or dual piston human respiratory simulator. The simulator is
to be operated in conjunction with a hyperbaric complex capable of
being pressurized to 330 psig. A variable tidal volume of 6.0 liters
per stroke and a frequency of 40 breaths per minute is required. The
ability to reproduce a true sinusoidal waveform will be part of the
criteria, as well as acceptance of an outside source waveform in order
to more closely simulate human respiration. Piston seal design must
retain all process gas at maximum pressure differential in order to
facilitate closed circuit breathing apparatus evaluations. Proper
compatibility of all wetted surfaces with 100% oxygen and high salt
environment is essential. Analog output of piston position is required
in the range of 0-5 volts DC with minimal distortion and maximal
resolution. Technical point of contact: Mr. David Cowgill. (904)
