The U.S. Department of Energy's Federal Energy Technology Center, Morgantown Office intends to solicit and award a fixed-price contract for an X-ray microanalysis system. The solicitation shall be issued on a brand-name or equivalent basis for Noran equipment. Salient characteristics for determining equality will be set forth in the solicitation. The Government reserves the right to entertain bids for new or as-new demonstration equipment, and to consider offers of trade-in credit for Government-owned equipment. Price quotes shall be FOB destination to Morgantown, WV. Only written requests for this solicitation will be honored. Written requests should reference the solicitation number listed in item 9 above and should specify an address and a point of contact at the requestor's location.
