BOSWELL (508) 233-4946 (Site Code DAAK60) The U.S. Army Soldier Systems
Command has a requirement for services to replace approximately 96, 16
gauge, 5 foot by 8 foot steel panels from the ceilings and walls.
Approximately 48 panels shall be replaced in the one wind tunnel
located in the Doriot Climatic Chamber building 2. The panels cover two
walls and the ceiling of the tropic wind tunnel. Contractor shall
provide all labor materials and equipment to remove the existing sheet
metal wall and ceiling panels in the test areas of the tropic wind
tunnel. Contractor shall remove with great care all electrical wiring,
conduit, tracking, and piping that may interfere with the removal of
wall and ceiling panels. Items removed other than the wall and ceiling
panels shall be re-installed by the contractor. Contractor shall
remove and dispose of all debris, excess materials or other waste
generated during the removal and installation of panels. Panels shall
overlap each other at the seams and shall be fastened to the walls and
ceiling using the existingstays. New stainless steel machine round
head screws matching the old screws thread size and length shall be
used. Contractor shall be responsible for all holes and cut-outs made
to the panels to allow for screws, electrical boxes, conduit,
electrical panels, windows, tracking and light penetrations. Contractor
may use the existing stays connected to the walls and ceiling. If
additional stays are needed, the contractor shall be responsible for
installing them. Contractor shall re-install all electrical wiring,
conduit, lights, tracking and piping removed during demolition to the
original locations and state of operations. All electrical work shall
be done in strict accordance with the most current edition of the
National Electrical Code. Contractors are encouraged to make a site
visit to inspect existing condition. The SIC code for this acquisition
is 1542. Requests for copies of the RFQ must be submitted in writing

facsimile number, and e-mail address. Requests may be submitted by
mail, facsimile, or e-mail. Telephone requests will not be accepted.
