This is a renovation and alteration project that will occupy 12,540 SF., as a full service Post Office, staffed with letter carriers, new retail postal store to provide stamp sales, letter and package handling. The work will be performed in two phases. The first phase will consist of converting the existing space for use by postal operations and construction of the new public box lobby area together with all required selective demolition and related work. The second phase will be authorized to proceed when work of the first phase has been completed sufficiently for the USPS to accept occupancy of the spaces constructed under phase one. The second phase will consist of temporary relocation of the existing USPS retail space and construction of the new postal store and related public service spaces. new light fixtures, ceiling grid system installed at lobby area. Standard USPS fixtures will be ordered and provided for the contractor to install. Mechanical and electrical equipment altered with modifications to the new retail store and upgrade design. Monitor and CCTV systems will be furnished and installed by the contractor, all other communication devices, cabling and antenna systems will be installed by USPS. Minor alterations to the plumbing, sprinkler systems, and constructing new toilet facilities to current ADA and USPS RE-4 standards. The facility is located at 40 Grace Dr., Franklin County. A Pre-Proposal Conference is scheduled March 13, 1997 @ 9:00 AM at the site. The estimated price range is between $500,000.00 and $625,000.00 with completion within 90 calendar days after receipt of the Notice to Proceed. Proposals are due by 4:00 P.M. on March 24, 1997.
