Technology (NIST) is seeking to purchase an X-ray capillary optic lens.
The lens must be transmitive in the soft x-ray region (500 eV to 10
keV), have input focal length of 10-12 mm, output focal length 30-40
mm, a transmission efficiency of greater than 10% at 0.93 keV, and
input (output) focal spot width of 0.08 (0.38) mm FWHM. Interest
sources proposing to supply an equivalent system must submit a written
qualification statement clearly establishing capability to meet the
above requirements with 15 days from the date of this synopsis. In the
absence of other qualified sources, it is the intent of the Government
to negotiate a sole source contract under the authority of 41 U.S.C.
253(c)(1) with X-Ray Optical Systems, Inc.; 90 Fuller Road; Albany, NY
12205 as this source is considered to be the only responsible source
and no other items will satisfy agency requirements. No RFQ package
