The Government intends to purchase on a sole source basis the following software items manufactured and provided by Trusted Information Systems (TIS) of Rockville, MD for Gauntlet firewall routers p/n GIFH Gauntlet internet firewall for Hewlett Packard (4 each); p/n MGE5 Gauntlet firewall email annual maintenance to include all updates, upgrades and unlimited telephone support Monday thru Friday except Government holidays and during the hours of 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM (4 each); p/n GINS Gauntlet on-site firewall installation to include all necessary labor, travel and materials (1 each); p/n TGFI Gauntlet installation, configuration and management course -- 2 days (1 each). The Government requires Gauntlet firewall routers to secure various segments of the AEGIS Computer Center (ACC) networks. TIS is the only known firewall manufacturer that supports Oracle SLnet communications through a firewall. These firewalls must be compatible with the existing TIS Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD) base firewalls. Award is to be made utilizing Simplified Acquisition Procedures.
