Aviation Administration Acquisition Management System (dtd April 1,
1996), the William J. Hughes Technical Center intends to acquire
engineering and technical services in support of the Aircraft Safety
Research and Development Branch in the area of Crash Resistant Fuel
System (CRFS). This effort will consist of (1) a study on the use of
fuel lines and fittings as they are used in current aircraft designs,
and (2) an analysis to determine how the current fuel system designs
could be improved to make them more crash resistant and thereby
decrease the occurrence of post crash fuel fires. A CPFF (or T&M) type
contract is being contemplated. The contract performance period will
be for approximately one year. The estimated labor hours are
approximately 3,280. The SIC code is 8999. Requests for the
