all labor, material, and equipment necessary to perform drydock repairs
including, but not limited to, the following Minimum Items: 1) Renew:
Deck Plating at Crew's Head/Doors at Crew's Head and Drystores/Main
Hold Hatch/Deck Covering at Crew's Head. 2) Repair: Engine Room Frames
20, 21 & 30/Frames 17 & 18 at Crew's Head. 3) Remove and Reinstall
Propeller. 4)Remove, Inspect and Reinstall Propeller Shaft/Rudder. 5)
Fabricate Propeller Nut Seal. 6) Clean and Test Grid Coolers. 7)
Preserve Transducer Hull Rings and Renew Depth Indicating Transducer.
8) In-Place Inspect Valves. 9) Clean and Inspect: Diesel Fuel
Tanks/Sewage and Grey Water Collection and Holding Tank. 10) Preserve
Underwater Body. 11) Provide Temporary Logistics/Routine Drydocking.
Indefinite Items include: 1) Welding Repairs. 2) Align Main Propulsion
Engine. 3) Renew: Shaft Covering/Shaft Sleeves/Water-Lubricated Shaft
Bearings/Rudder Bearings/Corrosion Preventative Zinc Anodes. 4)
Straighten Shaft 5) Preserve: Underwater Body/Sewage and Grey Water
Collection and Holding Tank(s). 6) Sandblast Diesel Fuel Tanks. 7)
Provide Temporary Messing/Berthing. 8) Ultrasonic Testing. Vessel's
homeport is Saugerties, NY. Vessel availability schedule is 05 May 1997
for 35 days. The place of performance is restricted to no open water
transits and is restricted to the protected waters of the cutter's
assigned area of operations. The boundary lines/points in the
geographic restriction areas are: New York/Connecticut border and Troy
Locks in Hudson River in the north, District One & District Five
boundary at Toms River, in the south. There will be a nonrefundable
charge of $100.00 required in the form of a certified check or money
order payable to the U.S. Coast Guard for requested drawings. All other
referenced documents are available for viewing at 300 East Main Street,
Suite 600, Norfolk, VA. Funds are not presently available for this
procurement. The government's obligation under this solicitation is
contingent upon availability of appropriated funds from which payment
for contractual purposes can be made. The proposed contract listed here
is a part of the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program.
Plans and specifications will be issued on or around 05 March 1997.
