three(3) each, sole source Basic Ordering Agreements to Lucent
Technologies, Motorola, and General Electric for extended warrantee
maintenance services for STU III, Model 1910, secure data equipment
used in conjunction with the U.S. Army Forces Command's Global Command
and Control System. Maintenance and repair services shall be
restricted to National Security Agency approved vendors based on
security requirements inherent to the servicing of STU III equipment.
Award will be made to Lucent Technologies, Motorola, and General
Electric based on compatibility contraints imposed by existing
Government-owned equipment and the proprietary rights of these
companies as manufacturers. Responses to this synopsis must be received
by 7 Mar 97 and include details as to how the offeror intends to meet
the Government's requirements. Faxed responses are authorized and
