(402) 221-4530. Subject to the approval of this acquisition by the
Headquarters, U.S. Army, Corps of Engineers, the Omaha District intends
to request proposals for an C4I2SR Engineering/Technical Support
service contract at Air Force Space Command, Peterson AFB, CO.
(Reference CBD issue date of 01/14/97) This Request for Proposal (RFP)
is to provide engineering and technical support on a wide range of
Command, Control, Communications, Computer Information, Intelligence,
Surveillance and Reconnaissance systems. The services the capabilities
to integrate, engineer, furnish equipment and materials, install and
test (EFI&T) and provide limited allied support and interim maintenance
for a wide range of current and future C4I2SR systems world-wide. The
successful contractor will be selected through the Source Selection
Procedures. Selection will be made on the basis of technical abilities,
management capabilities, small business subcontracting and costs.
Contract will be Cost plus Award Fee with yearly dollar amounts
expected to be between $4,000,000 and $20,000,000 with total contract
not to exceed $100,000,000. The contract would be awarded with a 30 day
transition period followed by options for a base year and four (4) one
year options. A RFP will be available on or about March 4, 1997 to
interested parties. The RFP will provide proposal requirements for
those offerors who wish to be considered. A pre-proposal conference
will be held approximately 2 weeks after actual issue date of the RFP.
Proposal will be required to be submitted within 45 days after final
issue date of the RFP. All responsible sources meeting the criteria set
forth in the RFP may submit a proposal which will be considered by the
Government. Small & Disadvantaged Businesses are encouraged to
participate and will be used to the maximum extent practicable as both
prime and subcontractor. SIC CODE is 8711. Interested parties that
requested the DRAFT Scope of Work, will receive this RFP without
submitting another request. All new requests for this solicitation
package should be made no later than 14 days prior to the proposal due
date and must reference the RFP No. DACA45-97-R-0017. After such time,
packages will be furnished if supply is available. Only one (1) RFP
package is available to a firm. Questions on ordering should be made to
