R -- ENGINEERING AND TECHNICAL SUPPORT SERVICES TO THE PROGRAM EXECUTIVE OFFICE, THEATER AIR DEFENSE, INTEGRATED SHIP DEFENSE SYSTEMS SOL N00024-97-R-5484 POC Mary Ann Keyser, Contract Specialist, (703)602-8000/548; John M. Murray, Contracting Officer The Naval Sea Systems Command, Program Executive Office, Theater Air Defense (PEO TAD D2) and (PEO TAD D) have a requirement for engineering and technical support services for the Integrated Ships Defense (ISD) Systems Division. This requirement was originally synopsized under RFP N00024-97-R-6406. The PEO-TAD D work will be in support of the development, demonstration and testing, production and life cycle support of new capabilities for ship self defense against anti-ship cruise missiles for selected non-AEGIS ships. The PEO TAD D2 work will be in support of the technical determination, analysis, technical direction, functional allocation, management and execution of the ISD development. Services will be for one base year and four 1-year option periods. The total anticipated effort required to perform the outlined tasking is approximately 66 man years (138,130 man hours) per year over a five year period. Primary effort will be performed at the Contractor's facilities within a 1-mile radius of the Naval Sea Systems Command PEO TAD D, currently located in Arlington, Virginia. The contractor's facilities must have a SECRET facility clearance. The solicitation will be posted on the INTERNET on or about the beginning of March 1997. A limited number of hard copies (paper) will be available on a `first come, first served" basis at the Naval Sea Systems Command, Zachary Taylor Office Building, National Center Building #3, 2531 Jefferson Davis Highway, NAVSEA Liaison Office, Room 5E40, Arlington, Virginia. This solicitation, which will include related files (i.e., RFP, CDRLs and DD254) listed under the solicitation number, can then be downloaded directly to your workstation. In addition, offerors are hereby notified that any written requests submitted for copies of the solicitation will not be acted upon. Offerors are required to obtain copies of the solicitation in the manner detailed above. This RFP will solicit an "ORAL PRESENTATION." The anticipated award date is in August 1997. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which will be considered. These services were originally awarded under two separate contracts. The incumbents for these services are R. M. Vrendenburg and Company, under NAVSEA contract N00024-91-C-6404 and Techmatics, Incorporated, under NAVSEA contract N00024-90-C-6127.
