9TH ANNUAL JPL HIGH-TECH CONFERENCE IN SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA ON MARCH 4 & 5 The Jet Propulsion Laboratory/California Institute of Technology (JPL/CIT), operating under a prime contract with the National Aseronautics and Space Administration (NASA), hosts its 9th Annual High-Tech Small Business Development Procurement Conference at the Wyndham at Los Angeles Airport located at 6225 W. Century Blvd., Los Angeles, CA. The two-day conference (March 4 and 5) focuses on federal and corporate contracting/subcontracting opportunities for small, minority, and women-owned businesses in the high-tech industry. A Marketplace for exhibitors and several workshops are featured. Workshop topics are: "Marketing Strategies/Subcontracting Opportunities," "How to Do Business with NASA, the Federal Government, and Other Large Primes," "How to Write Winning Proposals," "NASA Initiatives," and "U.S. Small Business Administration Programs." Approximately 100 or more procuring organizations are expected to attend. The guest speaker on March 4th is Mr. Robert Metzger, Business Operations Manager of JPL's New Millennium Program and March 5th will feature Dr. Steven Kelman, Administrator, NASA's Office of Federal Procurement Policy.
