This project consists of the removal of the existing metal roofing, ceiling insulation and vapor retarder and eave projection. Construct new parapets and plywood crickets. Reroof building, including vapor retarder and insulation. Install new roof drains and rain leaders. This roof is approximately 29,000 square feet. Also to restucco walls and soffits which will consist of pressure washing all surfaces to be refinished. Patch damaged surfaces and repair and seal cracks. Prime surfaces if required, and apply waterproofing and textured finish coats. Construction cost is estimated to be between $100,000. -- $200,000. Completion is 120 days after the notice to proceed is issued. Criteria for qualification of general contractors will be based on but not limited to 1) A minimum of five years as a general contractor; 2) Satisfactory completion of a minimum of three similar projects valued at or over $100,000; and 3) Ability to obtain bonding in the state of Alaska.
