(USPS) is seeking sources with experience in conducting analyses on a
large fleet of vehicles as well as experience on power train analysis
projects. Interested parties are invited to submit a concise
capabilities package that clearly demonstrates the ability to provide
the required analysis. The information the Postal Service is seeking is
to include the interested party's background/experience in conducting
fleet analyses in areas such as projecting vehicle life-cycle and
maintenance costs, performing power train teardown inspection,
performing oil analysis and preparing summary analysis reports.
Responses to this notice are not expected to exceed 10 single-spaced,
single-sided pages, including cover letters and attachments or
enclosures. Our preference is to restrict printed information to
typeface no smaller than 10-point. All materials submitted in response
to this synopsis must be received no later than 4:00 pm EST, Friday,
March 7, 1997. Interested parties may send the above information in
hardcopy to the indicated address or by FAX to 202/268-3888. In the
event a solicitation is issued for the aforementioned requirements,
only those interested parties with sufficient background/experience
capabilities (as evaluated by the US Postal Service) will be invited to
