The National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) is announcing a solicitation for the procurement of Armed Security Guard Services including management, supervision, manpower, equipment, supplies and clothing necessary to provide a daily deterrent against uauthorized, illegal, or potentially life-threatening activities directed toward employees, visitors, information, programs, and property. This solicitation contains unusually strict specifications for contract managment, supervision, and personnel including training and experience that exceed the normal requirements for traditional guard service contracts for typical federal office buildings. The service to be provided under this contract shall be accomplished at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library, 40 Presidential Drive, Simi Valley, California 93605. The contractor shall provide trained licensed employees at all times to perform the security services. Both a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond will be required. The Government contemplates award of a firm-fixed price contract. The period of performance will be for 12 consecutive months with four(4)12-month option years.
